The AP-HDVR4-160 is a 4 channel, fully integrated, hardware based standalone digital video recorder (DVR). No PC is required with this system; just plug in any standard TV, CCTV monitor or computer monitor and begin recording up to 30 frames per second (FPS) right away. This standalone DVR runs an imbedded Linux operating system and includes a remote control for easy setup and operation. With alarm input/output, Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) camera control, network access, DVD quality 720x480 resolution and DVD/USB backup this DVR is perfect for the home or small business. As with all our products, free unlimited lifetime technical support is included should you ever need help setting up your DVR.
The Armor Pro Harware-Based DVR kits use the latest in compression technology, H.264, to be able to record amazing quality video without using up a ton of storage space. The H.264 compression allows crisper, cleaner images to be recorded and still be capable of weeks of recording on motion detection mode.
Also included is a software package for remote viewing over your local network or a high speed internet connection from any Microsoft Windows PC. Remote audio monitoring and Pan/Tilt/Zoom camera control from remote locations is supported, giving you full remote control over your surveillance system.
A variety of recording modes are supported by this DVR. These include; scheduling, motion detected recording, continuous recording or a combination of any modes.

The AP-HDVR4-160 is a very easy system to use. All the controls and settings are explained in the manual. We already had the cameras so it was just a plug and play install. It seems to be a very durable and user friendly DVR, no major issues and the recording modes provide an amazing picture quality. Even when in the motion detector mode. The cameras perform better than ever and the Triplex option works great. We have tons of storage and have never had a hard time reviewing video footage.

We recently experienced an employee stealing prescription samples out of the office. We weren't able to take her to court because we didn't have sufficient evidence. After we let her go the theft stopped. Since then we realized no one is immune to crime and deceit. The DVR and cameras we purchased will hopefully be the deterrent we need to run a clean and crime free office.

Everything seems to be running to our expectations, the DVR is recording fine and we are very pleased with our purchase.
Support Review
We had an outside security specialist come in to do the install and he himself was very surprised at how easy the setup and programming was. We didn't need any technical support but thank you for a great product.

It's truly difficult to find a quality product for a reasonable price these days. I explored several name brand dealers and finally decided to go with Ezwatch Pro. I half to say I'm glad I did. This is a great DVR, it has all the features I wanted and even a few more. Great motion detection recording and the remote control is simple to use and everything installed perfectly. All the cameras I have for the system are Ezwatch's brand and they work amazingly well. They fit perfect with this Armor Pro DVR and I haven't had one problem since installation and start up.

I wanted my family to feel safer at home while I'm gone. The one feature that sold me was remote viewing, it's very comforting being able to check in on the kids when they're home alone. Now when we go on vacation we can simply look in on our house and make sure everything is OK.

At this point I feel we made the best choice as far as cameras and DVR package.
