Setting Up Remote Access on an ArmorPro DVR

Step 1: Connect a standard Cat5 Network cable from your Router or High-Speed Internet Modem to the Network Port labelled LAN on the back of the DVR.

Step 2: Press MENU on the Remote Control and input the Administrator Password

Step 3: Use the ARROW keys on the Remote Control to highlight NETWORK and press the ENTER key.

Step 4: Use the ARROW keys on the Remote Control to highlight the Type and press the ENTER key. This allows you to select either a Static, Dynamic, or PPPOE IP address. Select the type of address you need and press the ENTER key.

Step 5: For a Static IP address, use the KEYPAD on the Remote Control to input the IP ADDRESS, GATEWAY, and SUBNET MASK. Be sure to input the correct information here or the DVR will not have internet connectivity.

Step 6: For a DYNAMIC IP address: if you are connecting to the Internet through a router that is automatically assigning IP addresses using DHCP, then select this option from the list. After selecting DYNAMIC you will see this screen:

After a short time a screen similar to this should display if the system successfully obtained a Dynamic IP address:

Step 7: Once you have input the Static IP address or the system has successfully obtained a Dynamic IP address, press the MENU key to return to the NETWORK SETUP MENU

Step 8: If you would like to set a password for accessing the DVR remotely then use the ARROW keys on the Remote Control to highlight NET PASSWORD and press the ENTER key. By default the Username for remote access is "NetUser" and the password is "0000". You can set the password for the "NetUser" account under NET PASSWORD.

Step 9: If connecting to the Internet through a ROUTER you will need to configure PORT FORWARDING for ports 7620, 7621, 7622, 7623, and 7624. If you need help with this step please see How to use portforward.com to Forward your Ports.

Step 10: Basic network setup is complete at this point. Press the MENU key to exit back to the Live View.
