To set up a schedule you can either set up a timed schedule or you can set your VCR to record on a trigger (alarm) or you can set up both. Before starting a recording schedule it is a good idea to select the action the recorder will take when it reaches the end of the tape. Below is an explanation of how each of these options will function.

  • Repeat Recording - Enter the menu and select 'REC MODE SET UP.' Set your 'REPEAT OPTION' to the action you would like it to take when the end of the tape is reached. For an explanation of your different options see our article on Time-Lapse Recorder Menus and Basic Operation Guide

  • Scheduled Time Recording - This option will record during the times that you specify. For example you may enter the schedule below and your recording will start on Fridays at 7:07 AM and record until 8:07 PM the same day in the 72 hour record mode. Other dates and time can be added in the same format. Pressing the 'Timer/Power' will turn the VCR off until the scheduled recording times at which point it will turn on, record till the scheduled ending time, and then turn off.

  • Alarm Recording - This option will start recording when a relay signal (alarm) is triggered. Once the signal is triggered it will last the duration selected. You can also choose to have a buzzer sound to indicate that the alarm signal has been detected. If alarm recording is enabled it will record even if the VCR is turned off. If it is turned off it will turn on only if it is during a scheduled recording.

  • Alarm and Scheduled Recording - If you choose to enable both alarm and scheduled time recording the recorder will record according to your schedule unless an alarm input is detected. In the event that an alarm signal is detected the unit will switch over to the alarm schedule. If your duration is set to a finite period of time then ir will record for that time at the given record rate and then return to the previous schedule. If you use the 'T.END' option it will continue recording at the alarm recording rate until the tape ends.
